US ICT Council’s members work together and individually on various capacity-building and business development activities and events in Myanmar. We partner with local firms, government agencies and non-profit organizations to create sustainable, long-term programs to help develop digital literacy and technical skills for community groups, civil servants and educators.
We conduct various capacity-building pilot projects, such as a Ministry of Education digital literacy training project for secondary school teachers and ICT skills training for government staff through our MOU with the Ministry of Transport & Communications’ IT and Cybersecurity Department, SME workshops and promoting training via e-learning platforms.
We support and organize industry events with partners and government entities and lead business missions to meet with government ministries in Naypyitaw.
We connect the best with the best - we assist our members to expand their network of contacts, partners and customers in Myanmar by making introductions to leading ICT companies, including systems integrators who compete in government tenders.
As an affiliate of the US-ASEAN Business Council, the US ICT Council can tap regional expertise and resources to assist Myanmar with its ICT policy and legislative development. We also collaborate with the US Embassy, trade associations and international NGOs to further our public policy goals.
